In Arkansas, leaves normally start to change color at the beginning of October when the temperature starts to drop. The most brilliant colors can be found later in the season, at the beginning of November.
As you can see from these photographs, this year's seasonal peak colors are late. Which might "leave" (pun intended) us to see more colors later this month. Come find out!
This is an exciting moment on the White River. Early starts in the morning are breathtaking. In between catches, quick thoughts of "reeling in the big one" flash through your mind. "Maybe this cast," you think . . . one never knows.
