WELCOME TO LINGER’S GUIDE SERVICE & FISHING LODGE A FIVE STAR FISHING EXPERIENCE My name is Jim Brentlinger, owner/operator of Linger’s Guide Service & Fishing Lodge in Norfork, Arkansas. I am a full time guide who has lived and guided here on the White & North Fork rivers since 1994. I began coming here with my family in 1959 and was eventually fortunate to move here after retirement and started guiding. Linger’s Giude Service & Fishing Lodge was started six years ago and it has turned out to be much more than we had ever dreamed. My heart has always been dedicated to fishing and hunting since childhood. Throughout my various careers I always made time for the outdoors and especially fishing. Owning and operating print advertising sales companies had its rewards for 24 years but I never lost my desire to be in the Ozarks and enjoy the fishing it had to offer. During those years one of my biggest accomplishments was to fish the professional bass fishing circuit and qualified in the top 30 in the nation twice. When you come to Linger’s Guide Service & Fishing Lodge you are treated in a professional manner by professional people and your total enjoyment is our #1 goal! We want you to have a good time so not only will you return to see us, which 82% of our customers have, but hopefully you will refer us to your friends, family and business associates. Our 6000 sq. ft. lodge sits 538 feet above the world famous White River and only a down stream a mile from the confluence of the White & North Fork rivers. The view from our 800 feet of covered deck is absolutely spectacular and accounts for many an hour of watching sunsets after a full day of fishing. The lodge is perfect for up to six singles or up to three couples. Our accommodations are definitely unmatched in the area and we are the only lodge that offers lodging complete with all meals. Being the outdoor person that you are you will enjoy the furnishings, the view and the atmosphere that exists here. The relaxed atmosphere combined with our professional approach to the guide service/lodge business makes us the finest facility on the White & North Fork rivers!! Lodging rates include breakfast & dinner, shore lunch each day is included in the fishing rates. Breakfasts consist of eggs(cooked various ways)bacon, ham, boudin, potato patties, toast, coffee and orange juice. Dinners are rib-eye steak, broasted chicken or grilled pork tenderloin with all the trimmings. Whit River trout fishing is one of the finest venues in the United States which is known by all who have ever traveled here. You can expect a daily catch of 40 to 50 trout and most all of the fish are caught on artificial bait. All you have to do is show up at Linger’s Guide Service. We furnish rods, reels, bait, lures, shuttle service to and from the river, soft drinks, bottled water, fish cleaning, packaging and all the ice you need during your stay. When you fish multiple days you will be taken to various parts of the river so you get to see remarkable scenery and different parts of the river. At least one day that you are here we offer a COMPLETE shore lunch on the river. Lunch consists of fried trout fillets, fried potatoes with onions, special “River Beans”, cole slaw and cookies for dessert. After this meal you will certainly enjoy your trip back up the river and look forward to that evening on the deck overlooking the White River! Coffee is ready at 6:00 a.m. each day. Breakfast is ready to be served after 6:30 a.m. We need to leave for the river by 7:45 a.m. and in the water by 8:00 a.m. We stop at 11:30 a.m. to prepare your shore lunch and are back at the lodge no later than 4 p. m. Dinner is served by 7 p.m. each evening. FISHING is the same here all year round due to the fact that all our water is hydro electric discharge from Bull Shoals & Norfork Lakes. No matter what the air temperature, the water temperature stays the same all year due to the daily generation from the dams. The only decision you have to make is what type of weather you like to be out fishing in as the trout will bite the same 365 days a year.
