Catching trout is only half the fun…..the other half is preparing them for a delicious shore lunch for all to enjoy. The following information is designed to show you step by step how to “clean, fillet and pan fry trout fillets to complete your fishing trip. Good Four Days

It has been a good four days of fishing.....this brown came yesterday morning and was taken on a 1/8th White River Zig Jig. The area to fish and the technique makes all the difference between catching them and not catching them.

Flood

This is just a sampling of what is going on here.....the flood today is more than the flood that made the national news 2 weeks ago....not only have we had a flood but they turned on ALL 12 of the flood gates on the Norfork River. Rainbow trout dock floated by my lodge 2 hours ago....Genes trout dock is barely attached to the bank and just about to go!! PLUS they have all 8 generators on at Bull Shoals.....that water is not here yet and the Buffalo River won't crest here until tomorrow!!

In Arkansas, leaves normally start to change color at the beginning of October when the temperature starts to drop. The most brilliant colors can be found later in the season, at the beginning of November. As you can see from these photographs, this year's seasonal peak colors are late. Which might "leave" (pun intended) us to see more colors later this month. Come find out! This is an exciting moment on the White River. Early starts in the morning are breathtaking. In between catches, quick thoughts of "reeling in the big one" flash through your mind. "Maybe this cast," you think . . . one never knows. Bootheel Boys Journey On The White

It was the worst day of trout fishing I have seen in years....never got above 28 degrees....the wind blew at 30 mph plus and it snowed off an on all day! It didn't dampen the spirits of the BOOTHEEL BOYS however!!

Definitely A Zig Jig Morning

It was a ZIG JIG kind of morning on the White River!! Richard Cross (manufacturer of the White River Zig Jig and Crossfire custom spinning rods) my wife Nancy & I fished for 3.5 hours on Friday and caught 150 plus TROUT!

It was definitely a Zig Jig morning. We were fishing the Rim Shoals area of the river some of the time in the Catch & Release zone and quite a bit of time from there down just past the mouth of Crooked Creek. The 19.5 inch Brown came just past Crooked Creek in a small, shallow shoal.Come join the fun at LINGER'S GUIDE SERVICE & FISHING LODGE!!
